ESF and Irish Government Funded Programmes

CTEC sources funding from the European Social Fund and the Irish Government whenever opportunities arise.  We are currently running the following funded programmes.

Programme for Employment, Inclusion and Learning – PEIL  “Wexford Women Working”

This project is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

Programme runs from April 2017 to March 2019

The Programme for Employment, Inclusion and Learning, PEIL for short, is the only ESF programme in Ireland for the 2014 to 2020 period. CTEC received funding under Priority 3 of this initiative – Investing in Education, Training and Life Long Learning with a view to up-skilling and re-skilling the labour force.  This funding is aimed at women in the home who are not in receipt of a social welfare payment and who are currently inactive.

The aim of CTEC’s programme  is to train 80 women in either Healthcare, to achieve the QQI level 5 Certificate in Health Service Skills, or in Childcare, to achieve the QQI Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education at either level 5 or level 6.   The courses run one day per week and training courses are all fully funded.  Participants do not receive a training allowance while on the programme.
