What is Skills Connect? Skills Connect is designed in partnership with enterprise to enhance cross-sector employability and support people who have lost their jobs. It offers free online training programmes and enterprise-led virtual job placements to jobseekers looking for new jobs and careers. AONTAS is the national adult learning organisation advocating for the right of all adults in Ireland to quality lifelong learning.  As a member of AONTAS, CTEC – the Community Training & Education Centre - is committed to providing opportunities for further education on a flexible, part-time basis from its base in Wexford town. CTEC Project short-listed for EU RegioStars 2019 Award

REGIOSTARS is Europe's awards for the most innovative regional projects. 199 submissions arrived this year for REGIOSTARS 2019, the annual competition rewarding excellence and new approaches in regional development.  These projects are local, regional or national initiatives fighting against poverty and material deprivation; they foster more inclusive, cohesive and equal societies. This year, CTEC entered their 'Wexford Women Working' project into Category 3 awards - Combatting inequalities and poverty. There are just 3 Irish projects in the competition and CTEC's project is the only Wexford entry going forward.
